Turners Hill is a village in Mid Sussex, close to East Grinstead and Crawley. This bustling community has two churches and a couple of pubs with a popular village green and a number of facilities for locals such as a community centre. The central part of the dwelling has been recorded as a conservation area. Residents are known to enjoy football and there are two teams which play at the rec (recreation ground). Their traditional opponents are footy fanatic villagers from Crawley Down. Famous residents past and present include Olympic champ Daley Thompson, David Battie of TV's Antique Roadshow, Led Zeppelin's guitarist Jimmy Page and Christian singer Lou Fellingham, the lead in the acclaimed band Phatfish. An abandoned quarry in the area, also called Turners Hill, has been marked as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
